Recognition of Competent Person Under Petroleum Rules, 2002
|
|
- Recognition as competent person is required under Petroleum Rules, 2002 for testing and certification under rule 126 and 130 and for countersigning Part-B of Form VII and VIII for certification of petroleum tank lorries and bowsers / refuellers respectively.
- Qualification, experience and other requirements are set forth in Part A of Form XX.
- Application is to be submitted in Part B of Form XX of Petroleum Rules together with two passport size photographs, a demand draft of Rs. 500 drawn in favor of Chief Controller of Explosives, payable at Nagpur towards scrutiny fee.
- The Chief Controller of Explosives registers such applications and within 60 days either recognition is granted or the application is rejected specifying reasons therefore.
- After complete application is received, the date and time of interview is intimated well in advance to the applicants.
- Technical discussions related to the knowledge about rules, related national / international codes/specifications, processes / procedures, safe practices etc is held during interview and capability.
- Recognition is granted after concurrence of Chief Controller of Explosives on the decision of the board.
